Our History
Established in April of 1984, Preferred Temporaries is home based in the historic Sears Crescent Building. As local Bostonians we have established long lasting relationships with numerous prestigious companies and institutions within the Boston and Cambridge areas. We recently celebrated our successful 23rd Anniversary with a keen focus on giving back to the community through many charitable endeavors, as well as providing our good will ambassadors the best jobs, autonomy, competitive pay, flexibility and experienced staffing consultants. All of this is interspersed with our unsurpassed knowledge of Boston and it's companies

Preferred Temporaries is a proud member of Temp Net, an organization of prestigious, hand picked, independently run, internationally networked staffing services. Membership is by invitation and board vote only. Preferred Temporaries exclusively represents Temp Net in the Boston area as a member of their connected national coalition of independent services.
We can also put you in touch with our affiliate members in more than 90 marketing areas with over 185 offices in the United States and Canada. We are made up of a group of savvy entrepreneurs whom have beat the odds and are the only alternative to the National temp firms, which have only clients that want the lowest price and the lowest skills.
